Terms of use
Last updated:
Scope and operator
FreshJuice operates the Rigel CMS website at rigelcms.dev, its public documentation MCP endpoint and the shared GitHub authentication service at auth.rigelcms.dev. These terms cover those hosted services.
The Rigel CMS software is available under the Apache-2.0 license. Your rights to use, modify and distribute that software come from its license, not these hosted-service terms. Running your own editor or compatible authentication service does not require FreshJuice's approval.
GitHub connection
GitHub is the supported sign-in provider. You can use our GitHub App and shared authenticator or configure your own GitHub App and compatible service. GitHub's terms and your organization's rules also apply.
Only authorize repositories and editor websites you are entitled to use. The authenticator exchanges GitHub authorization codes on its server and returns an access token to the editor origin you approve. It does not verify that an editor website runs Rigel or that its operator is trustworthy.
The token can access all repositories available to both your GitHub account and the App installation, not just the repository configured in one editor. Confirm only destinations you trust and use GitHub's selected-repository installation controls to limit access.
Your website and content
You remain responsible for your repository, content, access grants, hosting configuration and provider charges. Keep backups and review changes before publishing. Save and Publish are different actions: a save can commit to a shared drafts branch, while publishing can merge the branch's pending changes as a batch.
A successful save or merge does not guarantee that your hosting provider has built or deployed the website. Rigel is currently a release candidate; test it with your site's templates and workflow before relying on it in production.
Acceptable use
Normal browsing, automated documentation reading, MCP queries and authorized editor connections are welcome. Do not use the services to obtain unauthorized repository access, deceive people into approving an editor origin, bypass security controls, distribute unlawful content or deliberately disrupt the services.
Keep credentials out of public issues, documentation MCP requests and content fields. We may restrict or suspend access to hosted services to address abuse, security risks or legal obligations.
Privacy and third-party services
The privacy policy explains our website analytics, authentication processing, cookies, editor storage and diagnostic reporting. GitHub and Cloudflare process information for their respective services under their own policies.
Editors hosted by someone else, custom authenticators and optional media providers have separate operators and data practices. These terms do not make FreshJuice the operator of those services.
Availability and warranty
The hosted services are provided "as is" and "as available", without a guaranteed uptime, support response or continued free-service availability, to the extent permitted by law. Documentation and examples can contain errors. GitHub, hosting providers and network conditions can interrupt authentication, saves or publishing.
To the extent permitted by law, FreshJuice is not responsible for losses caused by use of or inability to use these hosted services, including lost content or interrupted operations. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer or other statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. The software license contains its own warranty and liability terms.
Changes
We may update these terms or change or discontinue hosted services. The date above identifies the latest revision. Changes to hosted services do not remove your rights under the software license or prevent you from operating your own compatible service.
Contact
For questions, open an issue on Rigel's GitHub repository. Issues are public. Do not include personal information, credentials or private repository content; ask for a private contact channel when needed.
